The Kelley Racing duo will start on the front row in the upcoming Longhorn 500K scheduled for Saturday night, June 12. This will mark the first time the Kelley cars will start side-by-side on the front row. Race time is 7:30 p.m. (EDT) and will be televised LIVE on FOX Sports Net.
#8 Scott Sharp, Delphi Automotive Systems car:
"First of all, I'd like to congratulate my teammate Mark Dismore. It's very exciting for our entire team here at Kelley Racing. The #8 Delphi car was running great all day long. Not only did we have some great speed, but we're trying to develop the best race set-up possible. I'm looking forward to the race on Saturday."
#28 Mark Dismore, MCI WorldCom car:
"I'd like to thank the guys on my team for everything. We've had a great car all year long, and I finally feel that the monkey is off my back. I ran the car flat the entire time during qualifying. We had a little bad luck this afternoon, but we made some changes just before qualifying, and they really helped us."
