DALLAS (October 15, 2004)--- Qualifying for Sunday's Chevy Indy 500 is now complete and Scott Sharp, driver of the No. 8 Delphi entry, will start 15th for the 200-lap event. Helio Castroneves will start from the pole after posting a fast speed of 215.995 mph. The Delphi team will continue preparations for Sunday's event by practicing on Saturday. Sunday's race is set for a 11:55 a.m. green flag and will be televised live on ABC.

Scott Sharp, No. 8 Delphi/Dallara/Toyota/Firestone--- Quote

"I don't think it really matters where you are in the qualifying line here the big difference this afternoon was the wind, which can affect how you have the car geared. The Delphi guys did the best job of the day in qualifying, a good mile an hour faster than practice, which is what you want to do in qualifying. I think we'll be in a pretty good spot for racing on Sunday and I think we have a chance to do well."
