St. James Set to Sign 10,000 Autograph Cards Provided by Flying Color Graphics
INDIANAPOLIS, May 9 - Ever wonder how many autographs a Pep Boys Indy Racing League driver will sign during the month of May in Indianapolis?
Flying Color Graphics, Inc., the official prepress company of Lyn St. James Racing, is preparing 10,000 autograph cards for St. James to use in Indianapolis this month. That's a lot of autographs for St. James to sign as she gets ready to run 200 laps in the Indianapolis 500 May 24.
On May 16-17 St. James will attempt to put her Lifetime Television G-Force Infiniti No. 90 into the field for her seventh appearance in the world's richest auto race. She is the only woman entered and she's a fan favorite, which is why Flying Color Graphics' press run of her autograph cards is larger than the press run of some magazines and newspapers.
Flying Color Graphics is a major prepress company headquartered in Pontiac, Ill., with five facilities throughout the Midwest and an on-site help desk facility at Spiegel, one of the world's largest mail-order catalog companies. It is a division of Applied Graphics Technologies, Inc. (AGT), the nation's leading provider of outsourced prepress and image-management services.
In addition to the Pontiac headquarters location, the Flying Colors division includes facilities in Champaign, Downers Grove and Bloomington, Ill., as well as Indianapolis. The Downers Grove, Ill., office is handling St. James's autograph cards.
"We're very pleased to be involved in Lyn St. James' effort at the Indianapolis 500," said Rich Mathiesen, vice president, sales, Eastern Regional Group for Flying Color Graphics. "Since Flying Color Graphics opened its doors in 1952, it has been our goal to bring the highest level of service and technology to our customers. Auto racing is certainly a showcase for technology, and we're proud to be involved with Lyn St. James."
"We're delighted to have Flying Color Graphics on board," said St. James. "We couldn't do this without the support of great people like those at Flying Color Graphics and AGT, and we're going to be doing our best to put the Lifetime Television car in the field at Indy."
