Qualifying temperatures: Ranged from 117°-119° F (47°-48° C) track and from 76°-77° F (24°-25° C) ambient.

From pole winner Dario Franchitti, #27 Canadian Club Dallara/Honda/Firestone: "The car is good - it's fast, it's consistent. We tested here last Thursday and I feel that was a benefit to the whole team because we learned some new stuff. To have three Andretti Green cars at the front is good. The Firestone tires are fine. You get one amazing lap with them, and then they settle down to a really consistent, good level for the whole stint."

From Danica Patrick, #7 Motorola Dallara/Honda/Firestone: "These 10-minute (Firestone Fast Six) sessions suit what I'm still doing better than normal. We were close to not making it in (to the final session), but once we got out there, I took advantage of having the time and it seemed to work out. ... The Firestones are very good. They're consistent and we haven't been having any issues with them. Unless you're sliding one under the car pretty badly, they stay looking pretty the whole time."

Quote from Joe Barbieri, Manager, Firestone Racing: "It was definitely a great qualifying session for Andretti Green Racing to put three cars at the front of the grid. Dario Franchitti's lap from single-car qualifying was strong enough to hold up for the pole, showing just how hard he was pushing his Firestone Firehawks and how well they responded. Then Danica Patrick showed the resilience of the Firehawks by setting her best time four laps into the Firestone Fast Six session. A number of other cars are right on the heels of AGR, though, so tomorrow's race should be another great duel on this tremendous road course."
