PAS sprint car driver gets IRL ride!

(LAKE PERRIS, CA - SEPTEMBER 11) Perris Auto Speedway is pleased to announce that one of the most popular driver's at the track, Ventura's Cory Kruseman, has landed a ride for this Sunday's (September 15th) Indy Racing League Chevy 500 at Texas Motor Speedway.

Kruseman, who will celebrate his 32nd birthday on September 20th, passed his Indy Racing League drivers test at Las Vegas Motor Speedway last February. Sunday's race will be his first in the IRL and he will be driving for PDM Racing.

The all-time leading main event winner with the SCRA Sprint Cars, Kruseman and car owner Harlan Willis won their first SCRA Championships (driver and car owner) in 2001. On the way to the crown the popular driver won an amazing 13 of 21 starts at The PAS. Included in the 21 victories was the season ending Jack Kindoll Classic.

Kruseman is currently ranked second in SCRA points. He has notched four SCRA wins this season and three of the four have been at Perris Auto Speedway. In addition to his racing with endeavors with SCRA, Kruseman has also competed with the World of Outlaws, USAC Sprint, Silver Crown & Midgets, IRA Winged Sprint Cars (out of Wisconsin) and the Ventura Racing Association in 2002. In July, he dominated the annual Indiana Sprint Week winning the prestigious Championship for noted car owner Keith Kunz.
