Pennzoil Panther Racing will be assisting with Indy Racing League competition license tests for three United States Auto Club (USAC) drivers on Wednesday, Dec. 6, at Texas Motor Speedway. Tracy Hines, Kasey Kahne, and Derek Davidson were unable to complete their Indy car tests at Kentucky Speedway in November due to cold and rainy weather. The three rookies will be going through a series of tests during the day at Texas Motor Speedway in the Pennzoil Panther Racing car Indy Racing advisors, including Johnny Rutherford, will assist in the orientation and testing. In addition, Sam Hornish, Jr., Pennzoil Panther's new driver for the 2001 season, will be in attendance to help the rookies.
