BROOKLYN, Mich. (July 29, 2006) - Team 7-Eleven driver Tony Kanaan recorded a speed of 214.763 miles per hour (33.5253 seconds) around the 2-mile Michigan International Speedway and will start from inside of the second row in the #11 Team 7-Eleven Dallara/Honda/Firestone for Sunday afternoon's running of the Firestone Indy 400.

The 11th event of the 2006 IndyCar Series season is set to go green at 3:45 p.m. (EDT) Sunday with ABC Sports providing live broadcast coverage of the 200-lap event beginning at 3:30 p.m. (EDT). The race may also be heard on XM Satellite Radio on XM channel 145.

Tony Kanaan, #11 Team 7-Eleven Dallara/Honda/Firestone:
"We never really worked on a qualifying setup today. We've just focused on the race. Team 7- Eleven has done a great job today. We're carrying some momentum from our win last week at Milwaukee. Michigan is a completely different type of track, but the team is pumped, I'm excited and I think something has carried over to this weekend."
