TARGET TEAM READY TO TAKE FINAL RUN AT MICHIGAN

QUALIFYING AT MICHIGAN: Dan Wheldon qualified fifth with a lap speed of 217.894 mph (33.1113 seconds) while teammate Scott Dixon was seventh fastest with a speed of 217.369 mph (33.1234 seconds). Current points leader Dario Franchiiti earned the pole position with a fast lap of 218.308 mph (32.9810 seconds).

SCOTT DIXON: "It wasn't too bad a qualifying run. Pretty much what we expected really. I'm not sure how much your starting position matters here as long as you are in the top ten really. People have come from even further back to win this race. You can definitely pass if you have a good car. (Going for four consecutive wins) This is probably the most difficult track to try to do that at and I have not had the best of luck here to be honest. I finished 5th here in 2003 and the rest of my races have been rather forgettable. Butit certainly would be nice to continue the streak but what is most important would be to finish ahead of Dario Franchitti for the points race."

DAN WHELDON: "This track has been very good for me and I've had some really good finishes here the past few years and it certainly would be nice to finally win it. It's a shame to be losing this race. It's always been great racing here and it's always been a great show for the fans. My best memory I have of Michigan was not from racing but from watching the Michael Andretti Juan Montoya battle here many years ago. That was really cool."
