Indianapolis, IN - Susan Schafer, vice president of Playa Del Racing (PDR), announced today a marketing partnership with Videopoker.com to field an entry for Jaques Lazier to run the Indianapolis 500 on May 28, 2006 behind the wheel of the No. 21 Panoz/Honda Firestone entry.

The 90th running of the Indy Racing League (IRL) IndyCar ® Series' Greatest Spectacle in Racing will make the second consecutive year Lazier will drive under the PDR banner. He finished 16th in the 2005 race.

In addition, the team will field a car for Jon Herb, its full-time Indy Pro Series (IPS) driver and team co-owner. Herb will pilot the No. 12 Panoz/Honda Firestone PDR entry. Discussions with a primary sponsor are underway and an announcement will be forthcoming.

Videopoker.com is a new website under the Action Gaming, Inc. umbrella, which was founded and is under the direction of PDR co-owner Ernie Moody. Videopoker.com serves to introduce people to a wide variety of new and innovative casino games. It is a non-gaming, educational website designed to assist players in learning and strategy before they go to the casinos.

Lazier, from Alta Loma, Calif., will drive the team's No. 21 Panoz/Honda/Firestone entry. Lazier will attempt to drive in the Indianapolis 500 for the sixth time. His best finish is 13th as a rookie in 2000. Lazier drove in relief for Robby Gordon in the 2004 Indianapolis 500 after Gordon had to leave the race during a rain delay for NASCAR commitments at Charlotte, N.C.

Lazier, 34, younger brother of 1996 Indianapolis 500 winner Buddy Lazier, won the IndyCar Series race from the MBNA Pole in 2001 at Chicagoland Speedway. He also has extensive experience in Indy Lights, the American IndyCar Series and SCCA competition.

"I have a really good relationship with everyone on the Playa del Racing team," said Lazier. "I drove for them in the 500 last year and though we finished in 16th-place, given the fact that this team started just really eight weeks before the race, it was an absolutely fantastic run at Indy. All the accolades go to the team for sure because they gave me a great car.

"I am really looking forward to driving for the team again this year. With a great sponsor like Videopoker.com to support our efforts, I think we are capable of good things this month."

A Chicago, IL native, Herb started racing in 1997 in the US F2000 series with his sites set on competing in the Indianapolis 500. His dream was realized in 2001 when he qualified for the first time for the â^a^ÜGreatest Spectacle in Racingâ^a^y.

Herb fielded his own team competing in both the IRL and IPS until joining forces with PDR prior to the start of the 2006 season. When he isnâ^a^Ùt racing, Herb serves as Vice President of Aercon Industries, a business based in Florida that produces, sells, and installs autoclaved aerated concrete building material.

"This is going to be a great two-car effort by PDR," said Herb. "I am excited to climb back in the cockpit of an IRL car and get to work preparing for qualifying. We know this will be a very competitive field this year so ever minute on the track is precious in our preparation. I am just looking forward to getting underway."

Playa Del Racing, which loosely translates to "Beach Racing" in Spanish, was founded in 2001 in the beach community of Playa Del Rey, Calif. Gary Sallee, Schafer, Jeff Brougher, Herb and Moody are the co-owners of the team.

The 90th running of the Indianapolis 500 from Indianapolis Motor Speedway is scheduled to start at 1:00 PM EDT. Live television coverage will be available on ABC with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Radio Network providing radio coverage to be simulcast on indycar.com and XM Satellite Radio channel 145.
