Both Kelley Racing drivers completed Thursday's practice sessions at Atlanta Motor Speedway with encouraging results. Mark Dismore consistently practiced near the top of the speed charts with a top speed of 211.591 mph. Teammate Scott Sharp ran 208.516 mph after a quick motor change between practice sessions. A minor oil leak prompted the change of engines, primarily as a safety concern. The Delphi team changes engines in a little over an hour allowing Sharp to practice his race setup in the second session.

Scott Sharp #8 Delphi/Futaba/Worldcom Oldsmobile:

"We were just getting the car sorted out in the first session when the motor began leaking a little oil. The team decided to change it between sessions. The Delphi team did an awesome job changing the engine. Our car was a little different, handling wise, but I'm sure the guys will find the answers and we'll be there for the race."

Mark Dismore #28 OnStar/GM BuyPower/Bryant Oldsmobile:

"The OnStar car is handling great. I can run and pass high or low. I'm real happy with the car. I was looking for some people to draft with, but nobody wanted to play. I'm real excited about the race, and we'll work on qualifying tomorrow."

Qualifying is Friday (8:00 p.m. EDT on ESPN2). The race is Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. (EDT) on ESPN.
