Yasukawa lines up 14th for Kansas Indy 300
Roger Yasukawa will line up on Row Seven of the grid for Sunday's Kansas Indy 300 after qualifying the #55 Panasonic ARTA Dallara/Honda/Firestone in 14th position this afternoon. This will be Yasukawa's first start on the 1.5-mile tri-oval. The Kansas Indy 300, Round Eight of the IRL IndyCar Series, will be broadcast live on ABC beginning at 1:00 pm ET tomorrow.
"Qualifying was okay. I think we could have moved up a few positions but, unfortunately, we misjudged the gearing and lost a little bit of speed. I think the 14th-place starting position will not affect us since we have a good race car for tomorrow. We just need to keep working like we have been doing and hopefully we will have a good race tomorrow."
