Eddie Cheever Jr: #51 Excite@Home Indy Race Car Ran 37 laps with a top speed of218.376
Cheever (on practice): "Today we made progress with the handling. Had to stop because we had another electrical problem that forced us to stop early. We're not sure what it is but we are analyzing that now. It was a good day, we picked up a lot, and we've learned something about the handling that we have been struggling with for about a week. We have three more days to get some mileage in and we've made a lot of changes in the alternator. So far it is running well so we'll keep our fingers crossed."
