MIAMI (February 14, 2001) - Indianapolis 500 legends Al Unser and Johnny Rutherford will visit Homestead-Miami Speedway as part of the Saturday, February 24 Infiniti Grand Prix of Miami Open House, and will give pace car rides to fans purchasing their tickets for the April 6-8 Infiniti Grand Prix of Miami. The free full day of activities includes Indy Racing testing at speeds of over 200 mph, a driver autograph session, the chance to win a trip for two to the May 27 Indianapolis 500, including airfare, tickets and lodging, and fun-filled activities for the family.

Fans will also have the opportunity to choose their seats for the April 6-8 Infiniti Grand Prix of Miami. Fans purchasing grandstand seats will get a t-shirt and Infiniti pace car ride with a legend of Indy Racing from noon - 1 p.m., with drivers including Johnny Rutherford and Al Unser. Fans are urged to sign up early due to limited availability.

Indy 500 winners Al Unser Jr., Buddy Lazier and Eddie Cheever Jr., Eliseo Salazar, female star Sarah Fisher, Greg Ray and most of the current stars of the Indy Racing Northern Lights Series are scheduled for the Infiniti Grand Prix of Miami Indy Racing Open House. Race fans will be able to see the cars from the Indianapolis 500, and meet the drivers at a free autograph session, set for noon to 1 p.m. The Open House will also include rock climbing walls, Mini-Indy races for the kids, quad jump, pony rides, and various activities for the family, plus a Cub Scout Thunderbird District Pinewood Derby and kayaking demonstration by the Paradise Paddlers Club. Family-friendly priced tickets for the April 6-8 Infiniti Grand Prix of Miami begin at $10 for Friday and $20 for Saturday, with reserved Sunday grandstand seats ranging from $25 to $45. Youth 12 and under are free Friday and Saturday when accompanied by a paying adult, while grandstand seats for youth 18 and under are $15 on Sunday if purchased in advance. Weekend paddock tickets are $20, with youth 12 and under free. Individual weekend passes, including reserved grandstand seat and Paddock pass, cost $70, a $25 savings.
