Meira Improves Time from Yesterday's Practice

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Panther Racing and driver Vitor Meira continued to make their No. 4 Panther Honda Dallara quick during the second day of full field practice on Wednesday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Meira improved his time from yesterday during a windy and wet Wednesday practice session, which was eventually called two hours early due to the rain. Meira finished just ahead of open-wheel veteran Michael Andretti on the final speed chart for the day.

Two full days of practice remain prior to Saturday's Pole Day Qualifications.

Meira Quote

"We're getting quicker and quicker. The Panther guys did a lot of work changing the cars over and I'm happy with how hard these guys work. The thing is, we've been very competitive when running by ourselves, and that's what matters for qualifying. It's amazing how it changes the more you're out here and the more comfortable you become. It gets better, but you never want to get too comfortable at this track because that's when you run into trouble. You always have to keep it in the back of your mind that this is Indianapolis."
