BELL AGAIN LEADS VISION RACING IN #90 ROCK & REPUBLIC CAR FOR THIRD DAY IN A ROW WHILE SCHECKTER AND CARPENTER LOOK STRONG

SPEEDWAY, Indiana -- As The Run for the WorldPoints Visa Card Pole on Coca-Cola Throwback Day is finally set to get under way Saturday, Vision Racing used the first full practice day, uninterrupted by rain, to trim out the Rock & Republic sponsored Honda-powered Dallaras. In doing so, the team again performed well and continued to put together a performance during the month of May that is the best in the team's existence.

For the third day in a row, Indianapolis 500 rookie Townsend Bell in the #90 Rock & Republic Vision Racing Honda/Dallara/Firestone led his teammates as well as all rookies. Bell's speed of 225.087 mph put him in the 10th spot for the day's practice and gives him a favorable outlook heading into qualifying tomorrow.

Tomas Scheckter followed just behind Bell in the 11th spot with a top speed of 224.905 mph in the #2 Vision Racing Dallara/Honda/Firestone. Ed Carpenter in the #20 Vision Racing Honda/Dallara/Firestone was 13th quick on the day at 223.648 mph.

The team collectively completed 86 laps today with Bell doing the brunt of the running with 41 laps alone. All 33 starting positions are up for grabs when The Run for the WorldPoints Visa Card Pole on Coca-Cola Throwback Day gets underway tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. with practice lasting until 11:00 a.m., while qualifying begins at noon (EDT). Bump Day action is set for Sunday, May 21.
