Matsuura Confident Heading into Pole Day
Kosuke Matsuura, #55 Panasonic ARTA Panoz G Force/Honda/Firestone:
"I think we found a lot of good things this week and we are ready to try for the front row tomorrow. Our car is very quick but we prepared under hotter conditions, not as cool as yesterday. I think our car is probably better under hotter conditions, but it doesn't matter. I have to concentrate on those four laps, and I have confidence for the qualifying - at least second row."

Tom Anderson, Managing Director:
"With the rain-out today, fortunately we were able to get everything prepared yesterday for Kosuke's qualifying attempts on Saturday. It is going to be very competitive. You could actually see the first three rows separated by one mile an hour. It is going to come down to temperature, wind direction and an almost gut feeling of the times we should take to qualify. I think it is going to be by far the closest qualifying for the pole that we have ever seen and it is going to be a huge challenge for the strategic part of Saturday. For sure, Kosuke has a possibility at the pole and the front row. There have been 13 cars over 220 mph this week and two of those cars are Kosuke's so we are very pleased with the week's performance and our preparation for Saturday."
