Patrick Leads Final Indy Practice

Rookie Danica Patrick, pole qualifier Tony Kanaan and IndyCar Series points leader Dan Wheldon -- all using Honda power -- led the field Friday in the final practice prior to Sunday's Indianapolis 500. Traditionally known as "Carb Day", the hour-long session was one last chance for the 33 drivers and teams to prepare for this year's 89th running of the Memorial Day event.

Honda will field a total of 14 drivers representing five teams as the manufacturer seeks its second consecutive '500' victory. Live television coverage of this year's Indianapolis 500 begins at 1 p.m. EDT on ABC.

Danica Patrick (#16 Argent/Pioneer Rahal Letterman Racing Honda): "We weren't trying to come out and be fastest, but it's always good to end up at the top of the [speed] chart. It's good for our confidence, and good to see that your car can do it in race conditions. I think we're ready for Sunday now."
