#26 Klein Tools/Jim Beam Dallara/Honda/Firestone driver Dan Wheldon
Dan Wheldon on the Indianapolis 500:
"From a driver's standpoint, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is a track that you have to respect a huge amount. You can't afford to just drive around there, because you're wasting the team's money and you need to be giving relevant feedback. I feel like we've had a very up-and-down month, but the Klein Tools/Jim Beam car is very good in traffic. My crew has worked hard all month and I'm positive that by the time the race rolls around, we will challenge for a victory."
John Anderson, Team Manager,
#26 Klein Tools/Jim Beam Dallara/Honda/Firestone on the Indianapolis 500:
"We're still concerned that our teammates appear to be a bit quicker when they are by themselves, leading the pack. But, Dan demonstrated the other day what he is capable of doing in traffic and he looked awesome. We're not quite where we want to be yet, but I've got all the confidence in the world in Dan and the Klein Tools/Jim Beam crew that we'll be fighting for the victory on race day."
#7 XM Satellite Radio Dallara/Honda/Firestone driver Bryan Herta
Bryan Herta on the Indianapolis 500:
"There's a lot of history at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and it's probably the single-most prestigious race in the world to win. For me, it's always great to go back there and try to compete for that prize and it's an honor to be here. After a month of practicing, we've improved the XM Satellite Radio car a great deal and it is very good in traffic. We're hoping to improve on our finish from last year and bring XM Satellite Radio its first victory."
George Klotz, Team Manager,
#7 XM Satellite Radio Dallara/Honda/Firestone on the Indianapolis 500:
"The XM Satellite Radio car has been good all month, but we're not happy because we need to find another mile per hour at the minimum. We feel like we need to find a little more speed to be competitive, but we'll have a better idea on race day."
#27 ArcaEx Dallara/Honda/Firestone driver Dario Franchitti
Dario Franchitti on the Indianapolis 500:
"I knew that the Indianapolis 500 was a big event, but it wasn't until I first came here three years ago and saw the enormous crowd that it really sank in as to how big this race really is. The entire month has been a build-up to what is definitely the biggest race of the year. You have the entire month to set up the car for various conditions and on race day you can either make your car better or you can really mess it up. The ArcaEx car has been the fastest car several times this year, but things just haven't clicked for us yet. It would be a great feeling to join Jim Clark as the only Scotsmen to have our faces on the Borg Warner Trophy."
Allen McDonald, Race Engineer,
#27 ArcaEx Dallara/Honda/Firestone, on the Indianapolis 500:
"We have had very strong cars over the first four races of the year, but we haven't seen the results that the ArcaEx team deserved. We've had a good month thus far. Now we'll see if our efforts are going to be rewarded with a victory."
#11 Team 7-Eleven Dallara/Honda/Firestone driver Tony Kanaan
Tony Kanaan on the Indianapolis 500:
"The Indianapolis 500 is the biggest race in the world. It's why we race. And to be starting from the pole position is unbelievable. But, once the green flag waves that's all behind us and we have to race for 500 miles. We've had good results in the past, but it would mean so much to put Team 7-Eleven in Victory Lane at Indianapolis."
Eric Cowdin, Race Engineer,
#11 Team 7-Eleven Dallara/Honda/Firestone, on the Indianapolis 500:
"We've had a very good month thus far and to win the pole position was a very nice reward. But we still have the big prize in front of us. We'll need to use everything that we've learned over the past two weeks to make sure that we can run up front all day."
