#11 Team 7-Eleven Dallara/Honda/Firestone driver Tony Kanaan
Tony Kanaan on the Homestead-Miami Indy 300 Presented by XM Satellite Radio:
"I'm ready to begin a new season and see where Team 7-Eleven stands. I've raced very well at Homestead-Miami Speedway, but haven't won there. I consider it to be my home track and a win would be very nice. You don't want to over-emphasize the first race of the season, but the IndyCar Series is so competitive that you have to do well from the very start."
Eric Cowdin, Race Engineer,
#11 Team 7-Eleven Dallara/Honda/Firestone, on the Homestead-Miami Indy 300:
"Homestead-Miami Speedway is an engineering challenge because of its unique high banking, tight corner radius configuration. The cars have to complete 180 degrees of turning in a short distance and changing directions that quickly creates very large vertical and lateral loads. If the car is not balanced it will abuse the tires. Plus, the IRL has reduced the minimum downforce level for Homestead this year so another challenge is to find new qualifying and race downforce levels in the short practice time that we have."
