"It was a good day for Marlboro Team Penske with Helio (Castroneves) and I finishing in the top-three. Obviously to come out of our first race in the IRL with a lot of points is a great start for us. We were running strong early in the race. I got messed up on one re-start early on but then I got the hang of it. About half way through the race the car got a little loose. We worked on it during each pit stop and kept improving it, so by the end of the race it was really handling well. The crew did a fantastic job in the pits, we never lost a position and even managed to come out ahead a couple of times. Roger's (Penske) strategy to stay out when the #4 car pitted (Hornish) was a great call because it allowed us to get back on the lead lap. Obviously we didn't have the same pace as Hornish did today. We tried to challenge him at one point but we just didn't have enough for him. Overall we learned a lot and we're ready to start focusing on Phoenix."

"Today was a good day for Marlboro Team Penske. It's a new season, a new championship, a new series and all-new equipment; so my goal was to have a top-three finish and get some solid championship points. Obviously, with our third place finish we are happy and feel that it's a great start for the season. My car was very good in the beginning of the race but as we got further along, turns three and four really became difficult and I wasn't able to challenge for the lead except for a short time early in the race when I passed Hornish. Now that we've got one successful race under our belt we're ready to move on to Phoenix."
