TeamXtreme and Davey Hamilton Announcement

ROCKWALL, TX -- TeamXtreme Racing, L. L. C. of the Indy Racing Northern Light Series and Davey Hamilton, driver of TeamXtreme's # 16 entry announced today in a joint press release that they do not plan to race together during the 2001 IRNLS season.

John Lopes, TeamXtreme's General Manager stated that, "Davey is a talented veteran driver who is getting a bunch of interest from other IRNLS teams for next season. This early announcement provides Davey the ability to test for those teams who have interest in his significant talent and time to put a deal together for next season. TeamXtreme is currently working on its #16-car package for next season. It is safe to say we would consider working together in the future since Davey and TeamXtreme have developed both friendship and mutual respect."

TeamXtreme fields two teams in the IRNLS including the #88 Uproar.com entry driven by rookie Airton Dare' as well as the #16 freeinternet.com car. Both TeamXtreme Racing and Davey Hamilton intend to announce their plans for the balance of the 2000 IRNLS season in the near future.
