NAZARETH, PA (April 5, 2002) - The Indy Racing League open test at Nazareth is on hold as track temperatures are below the 50 degree minimum needed to run the cars at speed.

Track safety crews have been released for lunch and are expected to return early this afternoon when a heavy cloud cover is expected to move away from the area. Once the track is exposed to the sun it is expected to heat rapidly.

If track temperatures do not warm up enough run the cars at speed, the track may open for yellow flag laps, allowing teams to work on fuel mapping and hot pit stops.

IRL officials are optimistic that Friday's testing will begin after the cloud cover moves through the area.
