BRISCOE PUTS TOYOTA ON POLE IN CHICAGO QUALIFYING

Rookie Ryan Briscoe (Target Pioneer  Toyota) captured the pole position for
his second consecutive race in qualifying  for Sunday's Peak Antifreeze Indy
300 Presented by Mr. Clean at the Chicagoland  Speedway.

- Ryan Briscoe's pole position is the sixth for Toyota this season and the manufacturer's 22nd in IndyCar Series competition in 47 events. Today's showing marks the third consecutive pole for Toyota. It also is the manufacturer' s second pole on a 1.5-mile oval this season after Sam Hornish Jr. captured the top spot at Motegi.

- The pole is the first on an oval and the second overall for Ryan Briscoe in IndyCar Series competition. The 23-year-old Australian also sat on the pole last race at the Infineon Raceway, where he went on to lead the first 16 laps of the race.

- Ryan Briscoe's pole marks the  fourth time in the last five races that a
Target Chip Ganassi Racing car has  qualified in the top-five, missing only at
Pikes  Peak.

- Sam Hornish Jr.'s fifth today marks his ninth top-five qualifying effort of the season.

-Scott Dixon and Jaques Lazier placed ninth and 10th to give Target Chip Ganassi Racing three cars in the top 10. Overall, two Toyota-powered drivers qualified in the top four and four were in the top-10.
