Andretti Green Racing Marks Five Successful Years of Business
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Nov. 30, 2007) - Andretti Green Racing, the winningest team in IndyCar Series history, will commemorate the fifth anniversary of its inception on Monday, Dec. 3. The team, owned by Michael Andretti, Kim Green and Kevin Savoree, began operating on Dec. 3, 2002, in Indianapolis, Ind.
Michael Andretti, Chairman, Andretti Green Racing:
"We certainly felt we could be successful when we put all this together five years ago, but I don't think any of us envisioned the high level of success we've enjoyed to this point. It's been very challenging, but very rewarding and is the direct result of a lot of hard work by everybody at Andretti Green. Now, we have to go out and try to put together five more years just like the first five."
Kim Green, Chief Executive Officer, Andretti Green Racing:
"What we've been able to accomplish in five short years is representative of the people who have worked so hard on both the IndyCar Series and ALMS programs at Andretti Green. We feel like Andretti Green is a family and I'm proud of the record our drivers and employees have put together. We've had tremendous support from our sponsors and all the people at Honda Performance Development, as well. We've set a high standard for ourselves and we expect to maintain it every time we hit the track."
Kevin Savoree, President and COO, Andretti Green Racing:
"It's really been an incredible five years and I don't think Mike, Kim or I would have ever dreamed that we'd have the successes we've experienced at Andretti Green over the first five years. Each of us believes that the success is a real compliment to the organization we've put together. Not unlike any other business, this is all about the great people and great partners we have at Andretti Green and I think they have been the secret to our success and we look forward to many more years to come."
