Pop Artist Fazzino Unveils Program Cover for 88th Indianapolis 500

INDIANAPOLIS, Tuesday, April 27, 2004 -- Famed 3-D pop artist Charles Fazzino unveiled his artwork that will grace the cover of the Official 88th Indianapolis 500 Program on April 27 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Fazzino's artwork also will be used to create the Official Poster. The "Greatest Spectacle in Racing" is scheduled for Sunday, May 30.

The cover art captures much of the pageantry, excitement and tradition of the Indianapolis 500, featuring the famous Yard of Bricks, Bombardier Pagoda and Scoring Pylon, among other landmarks.

Fazzino is the most popular 3-D pop artist in the world today. With more than 600 galleries in more than 15 countries exhibiting his work, Fazzino has pieces in many prestigious private collections, including those of comedian Rosie O'Donnell, business titan Michael Eisner, Senator Hillary Clinton, and television personalities Katie Couric and Drew Carey.
