Ken Losch earned the pole position for Friday's Freedom 100 Indy Pro Series race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The pole sitter has gone on to win the Freedom 100 every year since Ed Carpenter won the inaugural event in 2003. Alex Lloyd, who won the first three Indy Pro Series races this season, will start on the outside of the front row.
Chris Festa set the fastest lap (188.804 mph) during the second practice for Indy Pro Series drivers but ended the session against the outside wall on the front straight. Festa spun entering the pits when a brake failure caused one of his wheels to lock up. Festa also said he had a tire deflating, which added to the problem.
