BOURDAIS CAPTURES THIRD CONSECUTIVE TOP-TEN AT OHIO

LEXINGTON, Ohio (August 7, 2011) – For the third race in a row, Sebastien Bourdais has driven the #19 Boy Scouts of America car to a top-ten finish as he finished ninth in Sunday’s Honda Indy 200 at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

After qualifying in the Firestone Fast Twelve yesterday to start today’s race in 11th position, Bourdais was able to continue with his fast streak as he worked his way up to running fifth at points during this morning’s practice session. He was then able to carry the momentum into the race, as he held a constant position in the top-ten throughout the 85-lap race.

“It was a tough start to the race today,” Bourdais said. “I’m not sure who bumped me right at the start, but it caused me to lose a position. Overall, it was another great weekend for the #19 BSA car. This is our third consecutive top-ten finish, and I hope to keep the momentum coming when I’m back in the car at Sonoma in three weeks.”

Rookie James Jakes, driver of the #18 Acorn Stairlifts car, finally found the speed he has looking during today’s morning warm-up. He was fourth quickest during some of the final minutes of the session, and ultimately ended with a session result of eighth.

“Things were going great today for the #18 car today,” said Jakes. “If it weren’t for us not getting enough fuel on the last pit stop and having to fuel again on the 83rd lap, I’m confident we would have had our best finish of the season instead of finishing in 23rd.”
