Howard completes 46 Laps; Fisher 65 laps

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (May 19, 2010)- The sun made a brief appearance at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway this afternoon as Sarah Fisher Racing (SFR) teammates, Sarah Fisher and Jay Howard, once again returned to the track for practice in preparation for the 94th running of the Indianapolis 500. The dry track allowed SFR to put in another full day of practice for the May 30 event. Fisher, behind the wheel of the No. 67 Dollar General Honda powered Dallara, turned 65 laps during today's practice session. The No. 66 Service Central sponsored car, driven by Jay Howard, completed 46 laps.

Sarah Fisher: "We haven't made the gains that we need yet, but we have a better run plan set out for tomorrow. We're hopeful to get the Dollar General car up and running as soon as we hit the track."

Jay Howard: "It was a long day for Sarah Fisher Racing. The weather really didn't play in our favor, and it was hard to work with the car. I'm hoping that the weather will cooperate tomorrow and we can get some more laps in. We're still looking for speed, but I'm confident that we'll get to where we need to be."

Practice for all Indianapolis 500 entrants will resume from noon-6pm tomorrow.

The 94th running of the Indianapolis 500 is set for Sunday, May 30, 2010, which will be the 6th race of the 17-race 2010 IZOD IndyCar Series season. SFR drivers Sarah Fisher and Jay Howard will attempt to make their way into the field of 33 starting positions on Saturday, May 22, 2010.
