Sarah Fisher Turns 63 Laps with Best Time Of 221.046 mph

INDIANAPOLIS, IN -- Sarah Fisher Racing (SFR) hit the track early in the day to begin their quest in preparation for third day qualifications which will take place tomorrow afternoon. Fisher turned a 221.046 mile per hour lap late in the day while spending her last full day of practice working on race trim under windy conditions.

"We are definitely better than we were yesterday, consistency wise," said Sarah Fisher, whose fastest lap of the month is 224.009 mph. "The car is predictable but I don't like everything right now so we definitely need to get some more laps in traffic. We should have a good solid run tomorrow, keeping the race car in focus."

Fisher's turn on the 2 ½ mile asphalt oval lasted just two hours, good enough for 63 laps around the famed oval; her most of the month. The team remained conservative with their setup after front-row qualifier Ryan Briscoe, fourth quick Will Power and E. J. Viso all made contact with the wall before the end of the day.

Practice resumes tomorrow morning at 10:15 a.m. for one hour before the cars will lineup for qualifications that began at 12:00 p.m. Fisher will have her turn in line as the 14th driver to take the track. It will be her first attempt at making the field for the seventh time in her career.
