Indy 500 pace car stolen and crashed through two-story window of dealership

The car has been found, but the perpetrator has not.

One of the 100 2015 Indianapolis 500-customized Chevrolet pace cars scheduled to take to the track this May got a premature test drive that did not end well.

On Wednesday night, a shirtless man stole a white Indy 500-themed Camaro convertible from Bill Estes Chevrolet, driving it through a glass window and destroying the front-end of the once beautiful machine.

According to Indy Star, the thief drove the car out of a two-story tall window and flew over a small staircase, slamming into the ground. The unknown perpetrator took the damaged car as far as he could before fleeing the scene. He has yet to be found and apprehended.
