RAINENDS DAY FIVE OF PRACTICE EARLY FOR DREYER & REINBOLD RACING

Indianapolis, IN (May 20, 2010) - Dreyer & Reinbold Racing hit the track for day five of practice and managed to get some valuable laps in before more weather rolled in. The team's drivers Mike Conway (No. 24 Dad's Root Beer), Justin Wilson (No. 22 Z-Line Designs), Tomas Scheckter (No. 23 Mona Vie), and Ana Beatriz (No. 25 Ipiranga) were all able to log some laps before the rain fell.

Today was all about getting the cars prepped for qualifying and the race. The four drivers worked diligently together and continued to chip away on the respective set-ups. The first part of the session was all about working on race setup and as the day progressed, they were able to prepare the cars for qualifying. Luckily the team was able to get some laps in qualifying form before the weather started.

Conway, in the No. 24 Dad's Root Beer car, was the fastest of the four with a speed of 224.874 miles per hour. He logged a total of 28 laps, putting him 14th overall. Rookie Beatriz, in the No. 25 Ipiranga car, had another successful day. The Brazilian completed 28 laps recording a top speed of 223.521 mph, making her 26th quickest for the session.

Wilson in the No. 22 Z-Line Designs chassis, logged 72 laps with a best of 222.449 mph, which put him in 31st position. Scheckter, in the No. 23 Mona Vie machine, clocked a 222.13 mph and was 34th among the 37 drivers on track. The South African driver completed 52 laps today.

Dreyer & Reinbold Racing will be on track tomorrow from noon until 6:00 pm for day six of practice for the 94th running of the Indianapolis 500. For more updates on the team, please visit www.dreyerreinboldracing.com.

What they have to say about practice for the Indianapolis 500:

Justin Wilson, No. 22 Z-Line Designs: "We mainly worked on the race set-up today. It started out a little tricky, but we made some changes and suddenly it came back into line and felt really good and was the most comfortable I've ever felt it. I sat right behind a couple of guys and the car was good and that was nice. I feel confident about it now. When we went back out we changed to the qualifying set-up and it rained. We didn't get to do any quick running today. We just sat in traffic to make sure that the car felt good. I think we made some improvements. I would have liked to get some more runs in the qualifying set-up, but that's how it goes."

Tomas Scheckter, No.23 Mona Vie: "We did two long race runs. We went out there with Justin and a couple of other cars. The second run was a little bit better. I wanted to get back out there and work on our qualifying car, but unfortunately it started to rain again. Hopefully tomorrow we will get a break in the weather. Overall, the car was good."

Mike Conway, No. 24 Dad's Root Beer: "Today was pretty good. The goal for the day was to try things for qualifying. Unfortunately, we didn't get through the things that we wanted to try. We have a good idea of where we are going to end up on Saturday and I think we are looking okay. I think we have some good speed and all of our cars seem very similar. Justin, Ana, Tomas and myself will have a pretty close call between all of us and hopefully it will be enough to keep us in the top 24."

Ana Beatriz, No. 25 Ipiranga: "We continued to progress today and kept trying new things, especially the ones that we tried yesterday. Some of the things that I liked really helped the car. I was able to get out there and do some fast laps by myself. At the end I really felt comfortable and happy that I could run well out there by myself. I was hoping to get out there with some traffic, but we will see for tomorrow."
