FISHER IN PINK; SPEEDING FOR A CAUSE AT HOMESTEAD-MIAMI SPEEDWAY
SFR's Sarah Fisher is "On Track for a Cause" with Susan G. Komen for the Cure® this Weekend
MIAMI BEACH (Sept. 30, 2010)- Sarah Fisher, of Sarah Fisher Racing (SFR), brought a fleet of pink to Florida today in preparation for the Cafe do Brasil Indy 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway (HMS) on Oct. 2. In partnership with the team's primary sponsor, Dollar General, Fisher has once again turned all of her branding pink for the season finale race to increase awareness of breast cancer and raise funds for Susan G. Komen for the Cure®.
Fisher's car, which is usually spotted with Dollar General yellow, has been repainted Komen pink for this weekend's event. "This is a very special weekend for myself, the entire SFR team and Dollar General," said Fisher. "We're very fortunate to have partners like Dollar General that fully support our efforts with Komen. Together, we can raise greater awareness of just how serious breast cancer is and help advance breast cancer research."
"I'm really looking forward to being back here at HMS," said Fisher, who will celebrate her 30th birthday on Monday. "I scored my first podium finish here, so it brings back great memories. We had the opportunity to test here on Monday and I think we have a great baseline to start with for tomorrow's practice session."
