IndyCar Series drivers:
Danica Patrick, #7 Motorola Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"Considering the day that we had I think we did a great job qualifying the Motorola car. We really struggled during practice this afternoon. We could not find the right setup all day, but my crew did a great job getting it right for tonight. As the evening goes on, the better the track conditions get. Nevertheless, I am happy with my starting position."
Tony Kanaan, #11 Team 7-Eleven Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"It was a decent run in the Team 7-Eleven car. I wasn't happy with the car all day so I think the run was okay. We dropped off big time on the second and third laps. We would have liked to have started higher but the race is tomorrow and anything can happen."
Marco Andretti, #26 NYSE Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"It wasn't a bad run for the NYSE car. Once the clouds got behind the stands, it picked up a lot of downforce and drag, too. To be honest, we're starting right where we need to be for this race. I started fifth here last year and we didn't finish, so it's all about getting the right setup for the race car and that's what we've been working toward today."
Hideki Mutoh, #27 Formula Dream Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"I think I did pretty well for my very first IndyCar Series Homestead-Miami qualifying attempt. I may have been a little cautious and therefore could have had a better performance but I am happy with my starting position. I tested here in similar conditions so it helped me a lot. We've been practicing a lot of pit stops over the off-season. I am looking forward to starting the race tomorrow."
Indy Lights drivers:
Raphael Matos, #27 AFS/AGR Dallara/Firestone
"It feels great. The team worked so hard through this winter and in the pre-season. To prove to everyone that we could get the job done, it feels great. Starting up front will be really important on this track. Hopefully, we can keep it clean, finish well in the race and collect good points. I just have to thank everyone - AFS, Gary Peterson - everyone that has been helping us this year. It just feels great and I can't thank everyone enough."
Arie Luyendyk Jr., #26 AGR/AFS Dallara/Firestone
"The run felt great. The first lap was pretty strong, but the second lap fell off a little bit. It's a little hard to pull our sixth gear, which is what I think contributed to that. The Andretti Green/AFS car feels great. I think we'll have a really solid car for the race and then make a run for it tomorrow."
