DREYER & REINBOLD RACING RUNS IN THE TOP-SEVEN IN EDMONTON

Edmonton, Alberta, Canada (July 23, 2010)- Today was a matter of putting the laps in and getting the cars just right for tomorrow's qualifying, and that's exactly what Dreyer & Reinbold Racing accomplished today in Edmonton. It was a good start to the weekend for DRR pilots Justin Wilson (No. 22 Z-Line Designs), and Tomas Scheckter (No. 24 MonaVie) as they had strong runs in both practice sessions for the Honda Indy Edmonton.

Englishman, Justin Wilson immediately got into a groove as he worked on improving the car. He quickly proved that he knows the Edmonton circuit like the back of his hand. This will be his sixth year at the 1.96-mile temporary street circuit. Previously, he had competed in all three Champ Car races at the track. In 2006, he won the race. He has finished no worse than fourth during the three Champ Car races he competed in. Wilson has led 29 laps in two of three Champ Car starts. In 2008, he finished 3rd and in 2009, he finished 8th. This year he seems to be on the same roll. Wilson finished 5th (1:03.4923) in the first session and 7th in the second session (1:02.2572).

Tomas Scheckter had a good solid day in practice. This weekend will be the South African's second time back on a road/street course since Toronto last weekend. He is fully prepared for his second visit to the Edmonton circuit. He is ready to get the car setup right for qualifying and the race. Scheckter was 19th (1:04.5257) fastest in the first session and 17th (1:03.0648) quickest in the second session.

What they have to say:

Justin Wilson, No. 22 Z-Line Designs: "The Z-Line Designs car feels pretty good. We just need to keep working on it. We tried a couple of things during practice, which helped. We need to look through the data and try to understand if everything was improving and look at what we need to change. There is a lot of information to study before tomorrow and hopefully we can make some more improvements. We ended up 7th and that's not exactly where we want to be. We are just one or two good changes away and we need to make sure that we find those changes."

Tomas Scheckter, No. 24 MonaVie: "The MonaVie car is getting better. Today, we just kept working at it and kept improving. Again, this is a tough track, especially when I haven't been doing a lot of the road courses. The team is doing a great job and we will look at it some more tonight. The times are extremely close, so if we can improve a little bit we will be good for tomorrow."
