Dreyer & Reinbold Racing Qualified 11th And 13th For The Milwaukee 225
Dreyer & Reinbold Racing had positive results in qualifying for the Milwaukee 225 today. The team's drivers, Ana Beatriz (No. 24 Ipiranga) and Justin Wilson (No. 22 Dad's Root Beer) qualified 11th and 13th respectively.
Beatriz had an impressive run in qualifying as she secured the 11th spot on the grid for tomorrow's event with a two-lap average speed of 167.863 mph and a total time of 00:43.5355s (Lap 1-- 21.7992s, Lap 2-21.7363s). As a result, the Brazilian secured her career best qualifying result and was the fastest rookie. She will be competing for the second time at The Mile, but her first in the top level of the sport. In 2008, Beatriz made her first start where she started 21st and finished 19th.
What they have to say about the Milwaukee 225:
Justin Wilson, No. 22 Dad's Root Beer: "I think the Dad's Root Beer car was really good in qualifying and the balance was close to perfect, although I think that we could have used a little bit more grip. We had a little bit of a four-wheel slide, but we were almost flat out the whole way around. We still have work to do, but I think that we have a good race car, so we should be in good shape for tomorrow."
Ana Beatriz, No. 24 Ipiranga: "I'm super happy to earn my best qualifying result in my IndyCar career so far. I'm really happy with what we've accomplished. The Ipiranga/Dreyer & Reinbold Racing car was fast. It's a little bit tough to play with the top guys all day, but I think that we improved so much and I'm proud of everyone on the team. Now, we just need to make sure that we have a good race car so that we can move up tomorrow."
