Dreyer & Reinbold Racing Right On Pace In Milwaukee

Dreyer & Reinbold Racing hit the pavement at the Milwaukee Mile in Milwaukee, Wisconsin today, quickly proving that they have regrouped and are prepared for the seventh round of the IZOD IndyCar Series this weekend. Piloting the DRR machines for the Milwaukee 225 event will be Brit Justin Wilson in the No. 22 Dad's Root Beer entry and Brazilian Ana Beatriz, who will be driving the No. 24 Ipiranga machine.

After a one-year absence, the IZOD IndyCar series and DRR have returned to the historic Milwaukee track. This weekend will mark Dreyer & Reinbold Racing's 7th time to compete at the one-mile oval. The team has started at least one car in every race at the track since 2004. In 2008, Buddy Rice and Townsend Bell finished team best of 10th and 11th. DRR has led a total of 37 laps at The Milwaukee Mile.

Immediately, Wilson proved again that he knew how to master the famed circuit and that he was back on familiar ground. After a very successful test at the circuit two weeks ago, Wilson and the No. 22 Dad's Root Beer crew continued that momentum into this afternoon's practice session. Today was all about dialing the car in and getting the No. 22 Dad's Root Beer machine adjusted to the changing circuit. He clocked the 8th quickest time in practice with a time of 22.0957s and a best lap speed of 165.372 mph, logging a total of 91 laps.

It was a similar story for Wilson's teammate, Beatriz. The Brazilian was quick right off the bat as she earned the 10th quickest time of 22.1641s with a best lap speed of 164.861 mph, logging 75 laps in today's practice session. The rookie proved two weeks ago that she was officially ready to take on the famed Milwaukee oval. The Brazilian, was the second quickest overall out of all the cars that tested at the Mile. Beatriz will be making her second appearance to The Mile, but her first in the top level of the sport. In 2008, she made her first start in the Firestone Indy Lights Series where she started 21st and finished 19th.
