27-August-2010 - Justin and Dreyer & Reinbold Racing endured a frustrating opening day at Chicagoland Speedway which saw the No. 22 Z-Line Designs car qualify 23rd for Saturday night's Peak Indy 300. After struggling in the morning practice session, they reverted to an alternative set-up on the car for qualifying and Justin's average speed over the new, two-lap qualifying format was 213.385 mph. His DRR team-mate for the weekend, Ana Beatriz, qualified 22nd in the No. 24 Dad's Root Beer car (213.429 mph).

"We didn't have the best qualifying today," said Justin. "We were hoping to be a bit stronger than that, but we will look through the data and see what we can improve on. The car was totally different to what we ran this morning, so we will have to try it out in the half hour practice to make sure it's what we are expecting. Hopefully we can learn a few more things in that session before going into the race."

Ryan Briscoe took pole for Team Penske for the third successive year with a time of 216.346 mph. Dario Franchitti (Chip Ganassi Racing) lines up alongside him on the front row.

Justin was 17th quickest in final practice late on Saturday afternoon, running 216 mph laps, close to cars that qualified in the top-10.
