"I'm excited about this trip to Vancouver... I've only raced on this track twice before (1998 & 1999) so it's been a while. To be honest, it was really nice to have a weekend off before this race - I think everyone was tired from competing six races in seven weeks. During the break, I had a chance to go visit my family in Mexico City and I'm feeling rested and ready to go. I'm treating Vancouver as a fresh start for the second half of the season and I'm confident that all of our hard work will pay off in the way of results soon!"

New This Weekend
Herdez Competition driver Mario Domínguez will be joined this weekend by Jonathan Macri of Toyota Atlantic Championship team P1 Racing as part of CART's Mentor Program. Macri, a 20-year-old native of Gormley, Ontario, Canada is coming off a career best finish in Toronto (second) and is currently sitting sixth in the point standings with 29 points. The CART Mentor Program has been designed to provide drivers in the Ladder System with experience and insight into life at the next level of competition. Macri participated in CART's Media Teleconference earlier this week where he talked about his expectations regarding this program.

"It's an excellent experience, just to get a general idea of what it is like to compete on a Champ Car team. I'm sure I'm going to get lots of opportunities to talk with Mario, just for him to let me know what's going on, and to get an idea of what a weekend is like and to see what all the PR is... and the pressure. I've experienced a bit of it in Toyota Atlantics, but to get the gist of how much more is expected at the CART level will be exciting."
