Toyota And Homestead Extend Sponsorship Deal

CART Online (November 28) -- Toyota Motor Sales and Homestead-Miami Speedway have reached an agreement to extend Toyota's sponsorship of the Marlboro Grand Prix of Miami Presented by Toyota - which was won in 1997 by Michael Andretti (pictured) - for two more years. The new deal lasts through 1999.

The event, held at the Metro-Dade Homestead Motorsports Complex, kicks off the 1998 CART season March 13-15.

"Toyota has been a tremendous sponsor of ours for many years, and we look forward to continuing our relationship into the future," said Ralph Sanchez, president of Homestead-Miami Speedway.

"The Marlboro Grand Prix of Miami Presented by Toyota has been and will continue to be an exceptional event on the annual CART schedule," said Toyota Motorsports Manager Les Unger. "We are proud to continue our affiliation with such a great race and a terrific facility."
