Justin takes pole in Toronto

Justin took his and CDW RuSPORT's first pole position of the season in the dying seconds of qualifying in Toronto with a 58.182 second lap (108.590 mph). He lines up alongside Forsythe's A.J. Allmendinger, while Sebastien Bourdais qualified 3rd for Newman-Haas. Justin's RuSPORT team-mate Cristiano da Matta qualified 8th.

For much of Justin's second stint on the softer Bridgestone compound he was stuck behind other cars, but he had clear air for his last two laps and made the most of it. His lap time was the fastest in Toronto qualifying since 2002, and he gets a championship point for today's performance.

"It's a fantastic result for the CDW RuSPORT team", said an exhilarated Justin. "The car felt great all weekend and the #9 crew did a great job. Going out on the reds we knew we'd be competitive, but I was getting held up in traffic and was trying to stay calm and not get too frustrated. When Oriol pitted I had two clear laps and managed to put it all together on the final lap."
