Qualifying

Tony Kanaan, #44 McDonald's Honda-Reynard - Starting 7th: "I got understeer going out on my second lap. My first lap was okay. I knew I had to try something to get a better lap time so I tried to pick up the throttle earlier. I did it last year and it worked. This year it didn't, but I can't complain. We're in the top seven and that's not bad at all. I'm happy."

Steve Horne, President: "It was a compressed day. I was pleased with the way the team operated. Everyone did a workmanlike job and we have a very competitive race car."
