TEAM KOOL GREEN AT THE MILWAUKEE MILE
Paul Tracy, #26 Team KOOL Green Reynard/Honda/Firestone: (Started 1st / Finished 6th at The Milwaukee Mile in 1997; Currently 11th overall with 20 points)
"You've got to have a perfectly balanced car to be competitive at Milwaukee, because with the downforce and tires we have it's nearly flat all the way around. Fortunately I've always liked racing at Milwaukee and our short oval setup has been pretty good this year. But there's no question that we've got to get some momentum going at Team KOOL Green, and I can take a little comfort in knowing that I've won races at four of the next five tracks."
Dario Franchitti, #27 Team KOOL Green Reynard/Honda/Firestone: (Started 7th / Finished 16th at The Milwaukee Mile in 1997; Currently 8th overall with 26 points)
"Milwaukee is my favorite short oval on the schedule. Last season was my first visit and there was some great racing with lots of passing, even around the outside. My only concern is that if the tires are too soft this year it might cause marbles to build up off line and create a one-lane racetrack. If so, getting a good qualifying position and starting up front will be even more important."
Naoki Hattori, #27 Team KOOL Green Lola T97/20 (PPG-Dayton Indy Lights Championship): (Started 18th / Finished 13th at The Milwaukee Mile in 1997; Currently 5th overall with 25 points)
"I'm finally starting to get comfortable racing on ovals. We have done a lot of testing this year and it is finally starting to pay off. While I made a couple of mistakes during the race at Gateway, we were turning laps as fast as the leader."
