PAUL TRACY, #26 TEAM KOOL GREEN HONDA/REYNARD:
(3rd with a lap-average speed of 230.292 mph / 31.771 seconds)
"Team KOOL Green did a good job today. We were fast right off the truck, which is what you need to do at a place like this. We'll hopefully continue to be fast tomorrow, get a good qualifying spot, keep the momentum going through Sunday and take home a million bucks! We think we've got a good race car and if we can hang around long enough during the race we should be in a position to go for it at the end."
DARIO FRANCHITTI, #27 TEAM KOOL GREEN HONDA/REYNARD:
(12th with a lap-average speed of 227.771mph / 32.069 seconds)
"From the timesheets you'd think we'd be disappointed but actually Team KOOL Green had a very productive day. We focused on getting ready for the race, but we're still working on it. There are still a couple of issues to address with regard to race balance but otherwise everything went well. We'll trim the car out in the morning and get ready for qualifying. There were a couple of close moments out there today - I think some people weren't looking in their mirrors. I ran by myself a bit, but I was trying to run in traffic because I wanted to get a feel for the race, because during the race we don't spend much time on our own. But as usual, when you want a clear track there's traffic and when you want traffic it's a clear track."
