Niagara Falls, Ont. (July 14, 2001) - In celebration of the Molson Indy CART race held in Toronto this weekend, the IMAX Theater Niagara Falls held a special late night showing of Superspeedway on Friday night. Superspeedway features Mario Andretti and his son Michael as they prepare Michael's car for the CART FedEx Series championship.

Mario Andretti, who was retired from competitive driving during the filming of the movie, strapped into a Lola-Ford camera car during actual race-weekend practice sessions. Andretti's car, which carried a sixty-pound camera system, was not fitted with a pop-off valve allowing the former world champion more turbo boost than the cars he was filming.

First released in 1997, this may be your last chance to see Superspeedway on a true IMAX screen. Niagara IMAX Theater will show Superspeedway through December 31.

Superspeedway will be shown daily at 1:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m. For more information visit IMAX Niagara Falls online at http://www.imaxniagara.com.
