As CART prepares to get the 2001 season underway, they recognized the All-Stars of 2000 at a gala at the Sun Theater in Anaheim, Calif. The star-studded event was dominated by Skip Barber trained drivers. For the first time, the All-Stars team included the Toyota Atlantic Series and the Dayton Indy-Lights Series.

The Atlantic All-Stars included former Barber Dodge Pro Series driver Rocky Moran, Jr. in third place and Skip Barber trained Daniel Wheldon in second place. The Indy Lights Series All-Stars included Barber Dodge veteran Townsend Bell, who nearly won the Lights title having to settle for the Rookie of the Year crown.

ChampCar named five All-Stars to their team. Skip Barber Racing School grad Michael Andretti was named the fifth All-Star. Last year's winner of the Mario Andretti trophy emblematic of the top vote-getter Juan Montoya, was named the second-place All-Star.

The All Stars are voted on by the drivers, team owners, media and the fans.
