WEST ALLIS, Wis. - Sigma Autosport driver Oriol Servia spent a trying afternoon finding a proper balance to his car during Friday's practice session for the Miller Lite 225 at the Milwaukee Mile.

Servia drove his #22 Sigma Autosport Lola-Ford/Cosworth to a fast time of 23.194 seconds (160.179 mph) over the 1.032-mile course.

Rain was the trouble for most of the day. The wet conditions had dampened all of the morning session, forcing CART to postpone it until approximately 2:30 p.m. when the weather cleared. CART then announced that one two-hour practice session would be run instead of two sessions. The cold, wet weather lasted for about an hour-and-a-half during the practice until the sun broke through the final half-hour, not only giving everyone a full session, but changing the track conditions as well.

All told, Servia did get in some quality time in the car, driving a total of 81 laps.

Qualifying begins at 1:30 p.m.

"I don't know what the problem was, but we were having trouble finding a good balance for the car today. We're going to look at the data, think a lot, and see if we can come up with a solution." - Oriol Servia, Sigma Autosport Driver
