Servia Seventh, Tracy 11th Provisionally at San Jose
San Jose, California -- Oriol Servia and Paul Tracy placed their Forsythe DP01 Champ Cars in the seventh and 11th positions provisionally for Sunday's San Jose Grand Prix at Redback Raceway, round 9 of the 2007 Champ Car World Series. The Forsythe Team arrives in downtown San Jose after a successful weekend in Edmonton where the team bounced back from a difficult qualifying session to finish fifth and sixth.
Servia made his way around the tight temporary street circuit with a lap of 49.936s. Tracy, who last year secured a front row starting spot by taking provisional pole, turned a lap of 50.079s. The blue and white Forsythe Team will look to repeat their 2006 starting positions (2nd & 3rd) tomorrow during final qualifying.

"It's a little disappointing because we were very close to the front, this is a very short track so small differences on track make a big difference on the grid. You are conservative through a couple of corners, you don't gamble enough and it really hurts you, if you are a little cautious and loose a tenth here and a tenth there and that can make the difference between P3 and P12. But it really says a lot about this championship and how good the teams and the drivers are, it is extremely competitive, now we just need to be more towards the front."

Qualified 11th Provisionally
"It's been a frustrating day for sure; I just can't get a decent lap in. We've been having a lot of inconsistency under braking and every time I try to push and find some time I'm just locking up all over the place, I just can't get the car to stop. We have a lot of work to do so we can figure out what is going on and what we need to do to fix it, we need the car to be more consistent so I know when I can push and when I can't without any big surprises."
Final qualifying for the San Jose Grand Prix at Redback Raceway takes place Saturday at 5:00 PM Eastern Time. The race will be broadcast LIVE July 29 at 6:00pm Eastern Time on ESPN2.
