On the race:
"I passed Brack on the outside in turn one and gained a position. Two laps later, I was going for Moreno and I went in to the grey area, which sent me to the gravel, and I broke the winglet on my left front wing. So, I had to come in for an extra stop, and change the wing. That cost me a lot of time. The car felt pretty good throughout the race. I started to have some problems with the gearbox toward the end. It was running a bit rough. I didn't lose any gears, but it was definitely starting to run rough."

On the race:
"I made a mistake on the first stop. I came in a little wide and messed it up for Robby, my right rear tire changer, costing a lot of extra time. After the stop, I lost first gear, and then it didn't take long and I lost everything but fifth, so I drove about 23 laps with fifth gear only. It was a very tough day, and finally my gearbox just gave up. It is very unfortunate, and it would have been nice, if I could have made it over the hill, I would have at least picked up a point. This is very disappointing for me, and for the points situation. We are going to come back very strong in Vancouver, and we will work very hard at the test in Laguna this week."
