Newspaper "ESP" Oct, 28, in Sao Paulo said there was changed the Rio de Janeiro Oval circuit for Findy race next year. This was done due to pressures by FIA who said they will not approve the circuit with total 2100 meters long. So they enlarged the whole track and it will be 3000 meters long and a front straight with more than 1000 meters. Simulations said the Indycars would reach almost 360 km/h in that straight, according to Kirk Russel.

Up to now the date is kept March, 17-1996 and the race will have 133 laps summing 400 kilometers.
