PORTLAND, Ore. (June 19, 2004) -- After a frustrating second day of qualifying, Rocketsports drivers Alex Tagliani and Nelson Philippe have secured 7th and 18th positions respectively, on the starting grid for the Champ Car Grand Prix of Portland.

Although Tagliani will start in the fourth row on the grid, he remains disappointed with today's results. "It's been a real test for the Rocketsports/Johnson Controls team to find the right set up for the Portland track. We've been fighting a loose, inconsistent car with lots of understeer. I don't have the speed I need to be competitive. It's late in the weekend, but we'll continue to look for a better set up and more speed for the race."

Rocketsports teammate, Nelson Philippe accepts his role as rookie, but expressed his desire to be more competitive. "I'm disappointed with our results and hoped we could get the set up we needed to secure a better position on the starting grid. We changed the diff' (differential) and decreased the push we were getting. We lowered the rear so it was less loose, and made a few other adjustments. I'm frustrated with what I have in the car, but I'll keep giving it 100%.
